ROANOKE, Va. – Community, business, and civic leaders were honored during the Roanoke Branch NAACP’s 22nd Annual Citizen of the Year Awards. WSLS 10′s Eric Johnson was even recognized.

It was a full house at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood as the NAACP recognized honorees for their contributions in several categories, including the arts, education, corporate work, and humanitarian work.

WSLS’s sports anchor, Eric Johnson, received the 2022 Citizen of the Year Award for Media.
