A webisode is a series of episodes that is distributed on the internet. It is available as either for download or streaming via online distribution and video-sharing web sites such as Vimeo or YouTube. The format can be used as a preview, a promotion, as part of a story collection, or series of commercials.

Here’s a great webisode from Leadercast titled “A Real Conference Call.”

Personally, I think Leadercast does a great job in their web marketing that marries both entertainment and advertising in these webisodes that streams a collection of “office experiences” as a means to promote their nationwide leadership events.
