All companies should perform analysis in order to develop an overall strategic plan. This plan should encompass all sections of the company, — sales, marketing, HR, production, etc. — which all help achieve overarching company objectives. Within the marketing plan there are specific tactics used to reach and engage with consumers. In most cases today, video and social media are front and center. With those in mind, strategic planning and tactical implementation need to proceed together in stride throughout the entire process, start to finish.
Video assets created without strategic data analysis or strategic planning (which work to ensure that the videos produced match the interests of the targeted audience, provide a message that resonates with that audience, plays well to key influencers in that audience, performs well on social platforms where the target audience consumes content, etc.), could experience a lack of overall reach and effectiveness.
